On Forte, teachers handle lesson rescheduling for their students.
You've booked a Trial Lesson or regular lesson and need to change the lesson day and/or time... No problem!
You do not need to cancel the lesson... Your teacher can simply move the lesson!
Via Forte Chat, let your teacher know that you'd like to reschedule the lesson with them. The two of you can find another day and/or time that works for both of you, and your teacher can then reschedule the lesson. The lesson will automatically adjust on your Learning Hub.
You will receive an email any time a lesson is scheduled for you or a change is made to a scheduled lesson.
Tip: Be sure to stay on top of your lesson schedule and let your teacher know if in advance if you won't be able to make it to an upcoming lesson. Forte teachers are busy people, and it's important to respect your teacher's time!
What is the Trial Lesson cancelation or change policy?
Trial Lessons that are canceled by the student more than 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund. Teachers will not be paid for Trial Lessons that are canceled more than 24 hours in advance.
Trial Lessons that are canceled by the student less than 24 hours in advance are NOT eligible for a refund, and teachers are still paid for the canceled Trial Lessons.
If there is a conflict with the booked Trial Lesson date/time, we always suggest MOVING the Trial Lesson instead of canceling it. Teachers can reschedule Trial Lessons as needed, subject to the availability of both the teacher and the student.
What is the standard lesson cancelation or change policy?
For lessons beyond the Trial Lesson, Forte defers to individual teachers' lesson cancelation and lesson reschedule policies.
Students: Please be sure to ask your teacher about their cancelation and rescheduling policies (ideally during your Trial Lesson).
Teachers: Be sure to share your individual teaching policies at the beginning of your lessons with new students (ideally during Trial Lessons).
