Billing For Lessons Taught

Forte has partnered with Stripe for student billing and teacher payment, which means you can receive funds faster and securely.

Your student is automatically charged for the lesson as soon as you finalize the lesson on your Billing tab.

Teacher payouts occur within two business days of when the lesson was charged.

Tip: To ensure timely and regular payouts, you should make sure you're closing out the lessons on your Billing tab regularly, ideally as soon as the lessons are completed.

To finalize a lesson:

Log in to your Forte teacher account.
Navigate to the Billing tab in your left-hand navigation panel.
Click on "Lessons To Process."
Set the attendance for the lesson. Your attendance options are:
1. Student attended
2. No-Show
3. Canceled (late)
4. Canceled
5. Teacher not available
Adjust the fee, if necessary.
1. Note: Fees for a Trial Lesson cannot be adjusted.
Click "Finalize Lesson"

Important: The lesson rate/fee you set represents how much you will be paid. Students will see a higher rate that includes Forte's fee.

Pre-Pay for Lessons

Prefer to have your students pre-pay for lessons? Set up lesson bundles, from your Profile tab.

Want to sell a month or a semester of lessons at one time? Want to offer a discount for pre-purchased lesson bundles? Want to create bundles with 5, 10, or more lessons included? It’s all possible.

Set up your lesson bundle options according to your preferences: choose the lesson length for the bundle, the number of lessons to be included, a percentage discount (if desired), and include a bundle description.
