Yay! You've found a great teacher and booked a Trial Lesson... Here's what happens next.
Chat With Your Teacher
Now that you have selected a teacher and booked a Trial Lesson, you will see that teacher included on your Learning Hub.
Use Forte Chat to communicate with your teacher before your Trial Lesson, as necessary.
There are two ways to access Forte Chat:
- at the top of your Learning Hub via the Chat icon
- in the Instrument section of your Learning Hub, via the Direct Chat message button
Meeting With Your Teacher for a Trial Lesson
All lessons, including Trial Lessons, are held on Forte's video conferencing tool, right on the Forte platform.
When it's time for your Trial Lesson, you will connect with your teacher in the Forte teaching Studio by clicking on the Enter studio button from the instrument section of your Learning Hub.
During Your Trial Lesson
The Trial Lesson is your chance to figure out if it's a great student/teacher pairing and to discuss important info with your teacher. Consider talking about:
- Your learning style and how you learn best
- Your goals for taking lessons
- Your teacher's studio expectations
- Your preferred lesson length
- An ongoing lesson schedule
As always, for the best lesson experience, please ensure your browser and operating system are up to date prior to the starting the Trial Lesson.

About Forte
Forte was purpose-built for online music lessons. With tools designed to disappear rather than distract from your experience and Forte Pure Audio, our industry-leading audio that captures the full richness of sound, you can focus on the thing that matters most: musical learning!
Forte Pure Audio captures the full richness of musical sound on both ends of the lesson, both yours and your teacher's. With Forte Pure Audio, you’ll enjoy the highest audio resolution available, so the most human and expressive aspects of music making, like tone color, dynamics, articulation, and musical nuance, are no longer sacrificed just because your lesson is online. The sound is great, so your lesson can be, too.
With recorded lessons, dual camera angles, live shared notebooks, and studio materials all in one place, you and your teacher have everything you need at your fingertips to have great lessons (AND productive practice sessions between lessons).
